Run Yell Tell ***New Interview***

RUN YELL TELL are a great band out of New Jersey. They put on a great show and the best part is that's good old-fashion hardcore stuff. Not this screamo crap. They have played shows with some great bands and so far have a demo and some you-tube videos. These guys are great to see live. I got the band to tell their story...

Introduce Yourself...
We are Run Yell Tell a post hardcore band  from Northeastern, NJ. Members are Nate Titus (vocals) Mike Gallagher (guitar) Ryan Gallagher (guitar) Kevin Kelson (Bass) and george boes (drums)

How did the band start?
We were formed in 2010 after growing up together in the small town of Belvidere, NJ. It all began when when mike, ryan, and george started a new band after a few other bands ended. We were lookin for a heavier more butal sound and found it in the foundation of theses three members. We went through a slew of singers until settling on Nate Titus. He came into the band with an aggressive vocal style, that in his own words...."revolutionized" Run Yell Tell. After Nate joined there were issues with the bassist, but eventually we settled on Kevin Kelson. Kevin brings vocals,stage presence and a like mind to our style.

How did you come up with the name?
The name speaks for itself......RUN YELL TELL!!!!

Who would you say are your influences?
First of all Four Loko, Red Bull, haha. Any bands that we like the list is too long...

What is the punk scene like in New Jersey?
Punk? We are a post hardcore band. We throw down pits and have catchy punkish choruses, but we playin with some really heavy bands!!

Describe the song writing process...
Nate gets drunk, we get brutal...and drunk.........then write some great songs. hahaha jk, Seriously we come up with a riff or idea, throw it around at a practice, try to get something going and then hand it over to Nate. He works it and we help as much as we can on vocals, he mainly writes the lyrics, then we get finished product. At this point its a group crafting session.

What have you released?
We released a short Demo Recorded @ soundmine studios. We have released live footage and videos from many shows and large events.

Have you toured?
We have been generating some attention from labels and hope to get picked up and thrown on a major tour, as of now we just hoping on with the big bands as much as possible.

Do you prefer small clubs or large venues?
Any show is amazing, we just love to play. Obviously the bigger the better we really enjoyed our show with Asking Alexandria and are really really pumped for the ALL STARS TOUR!!!

Is there a favorite band you like to do shows with?
Not a favorite...we love em all!!

Is there a favorite place you like to do shows at?
We gotta give crocodile rock in Allentown a shout out for really getting the ball rolling on this, putting us up with some top bands. We love every venue though.

What do you see is the future of Run Yell Tell?
Hopefully touring, continuing to play, everything we dream of!!
